Talking About Talkeetna

A daily photo blog where you can learn how to navigate Main Street as well as the rest of Alaska with Talkeetna Travel. You'll probably meet more of the town's dogs than townspeople. I'm your blogger, Laura. When not blogging I'm skiing, splitting wood and hanging with my dog, Butterball.

After you've enjoyed our photos, please visit Talkeetna Travel's website. We specialize in authentic, locally owned lodging and activities in Talkeetna, as well as throughout Alaska. Transportation, too! We hope these photos bring you to our free reservation service that will help you have the most colorful Alaskan experience possible. http://talkeetnatravel.com

New! You can now view daily updates (and leave comments) on our Facebook page.

The latest and greatest thing for gravel roads…and “in-place rock crusher.” It pulverizes the rocks in the road as it rolls along leaving a nice bed of manageable gravel. There are over 150 miles of gravel roads in the Upper Susitna Valley!!
